I always check out my commentators, but I don’t have very many so it doesn’t take much time. I subscribe to the ones that interest me or are about the same subject.

Friends blogs are the worst. Just because we’re friends doesn’t mean I appreciate your mad mutterings when I’m trying to work!

Can I have a t-shirt like that please?

I keep a tight watch on my comments. I do not want content that drags my site down, so I monitor everything. However, if someone takes the time to post a thoughtful comment that is related to my content, I will certainly do them the courtesy of returning the favor, if I can add to their site.

I would definitely say the comment itself plays a huge role on whether I am gonna visit the site or not… A meaningful comment means something and it makes a good impression to the blog owner

Before I approve a comment, I check your blog to see if it is spam or a real blog. I check but I don’t comment every time. I only want to add valuable comments. And it is not mandatory to make a comment.
