Flippa is the rebranded Sitepoint Marketplace. It is a good juncture to buy and sell sites, although its a bit more costly now.
Sitepoint marketplace was a well known destination for buying and selling website. You could list your site for free or pay a premium for Special listing. Recently Sitepoint have rebranded their marketplace into a brand new entity called Flippa.
Flippa is a Online Marketplace to buy and sell your sites. They have given it a brand new Web 2.0 look and hiked the listing and transaction fees. This caused a lot of criticism among the potential users. Especially the hike in listing fee which includes the Smart Pricing style Success Fee ranging from $5 to maximum $500. Flippa does not take any respon
Here are the listing fees:
- $19 for basic listing
- $5 bottom to $498 cap for Success Fee (5% of the transaction)
- $5 for highlighting your lsiting in bold or row highlighted
- $19 for hiding the listing from Search Engines
- $29 for listing to appear on the front page for limited time
We have yet to see how this one will fare. But going by their past experience, I have reason to believe this would be a great service. Go check.

It will be interested to see how well Flippa does. I was just there and it states that only 35-percent of the websites listed are actually being sold. The number seems a little low to me considering the popularity of Flippa has done well since it launched in June. Kudos on the blog post.
