If you have anew blog and are getting loads of spam comments, you can actually use some of them to increase Comments per Post for your blog.
I hate Spam. Everyone hates spam. I also appreciate comments which provides value addition to the blog topic. But what do you do when your Blog is new, you are not getting any value addition comments and all you are stuck up with are loads of Crappy Spammy comments?
Although this is not something I would vouch for to everybody (I myself does not like it), but especially new bloggers can actually take advantage of Spammy Comments. Spammers use a script which let them post loads of comments to a large number of blogs which does not have Captcha protection activated. So they post a general comments like
- I liked your blog a lot. Will subscribe to your RSS Feed right away.
- You are doing a great job. World needs bloggers like you.
- I loved this blog and appreciate the work you are doing etc.
The most important thing for them is getting a keyword rich link back. So you would see names like
- Water Car Model
- Get Six Pack Abs
- Earn Cash Fast etc.
All you have to do is
- Go to Admin Panel -> Comments -> Spam Tab
- Delete all junk comments. Pick few random comments which are making sense but you know are spam.
- Remove the link from it. Make sure to also check any link in the Comment Body.
- Change the name to something that makes sense.
- Approve the comment. Done.
