Yahoo Answers Team has come up with a new suggested questions module. This module will help users to see beyond the recently posted Answers, and rather find answers more suited to Interests and Area of Expertise.

Suggested Questions Module

It works on the principle that Expert Users gives good Answers. So they should be presented with more questions to answer. This module is currently limited to certain users only who are very ACTIVE on particular TOPICS. Have a look at how the module looks:

Personal Views

This is a nice idea. Imagine you along with looking for Questions to Answers, actually have a list of Suggested Questions which are from your Most Active Section of the Site. Chances are you have more knowledge about the topic and would come up with better results. Once this module has mass deployment, over time the average quality of the Answers would increase.

Only problem is, how good the module is in determining which are your favorite areas? Does it looks at what sections you surf more or which sections you answers. It might also look at your search queries. How they come up with it, the proper distribution of Suggested Questions will heavily depend on it.

Share your views on this new feature. Have a nice day..!!
