The first most important task in blogging world is choosing a proper and attractive blog name, as it helps in marketing and branding of our blog. Search engine like Google, Bing and Yahoo also looks at the blog title for ranking. Beyond this, good and attractive title always helps in drive traffic from search engine.

Choosing blog names is simple and easy task, but it may require some time as it requires idea generation, a lot of research, proper selection and finally finalizing the title.

So before choosing your blog name, simple rules need to be followed-

1) Describing your blog: It’s quite obvious that lots of people will see your link in your blog before reading in search engines, for instance. If they can get an idea on what the blog is all about only just by looking at the name they will surely visit it. A good and attractive blog name can help you to get a lot of visitors attracted toward your blog to read it at the first instant.

Factors essential while selecting a blog name are attractiveness, how good is it for search engines, is it keyword stuffed, etc.

2) Simple, Easy to type and remembered: If your blog advice something in general about fitness, cycling and health. So adding heading as “The Fitness, Cycling and General Health Advice Blog” would offer quite an comprehensive description of the blog, but would it also be easy to remember? It’s better to stick with simple and short names and not making your title too restrictive.

3) Blog name equal to the domain name: This point is often not considered by people, just because finding a suitable domain that has not been registered yet is a difficult task. Still if your domain name does not match the blog name, it may result in losing some readers along the way. Whenever people visit your blog via link they will only read the name of the blog. If they decide to revisit the site after some days they will just type that name followed by a dot com and in that case if they are unable to find your blog they will go to somewhere else.

Learn how to get your RSS Reader to visit your Blog. Doing that you can increase your Pageviews with quality visits, and earn more from the new set of visitors.

High number of RSS Readers denotes the Blog Authority. It states that the Blog has a long list of followers who constantly read the articles published here. However, there is a big disadvantage when it comes to the RSS Reader. It seriously limits your earning potential and decreases pages views from returning visitors. Also RSS Ads have proved to convert very poorly. Even though you would not want to lose your RSS Readers, often you would like them to visit your Blog. Let’s try how to accomplish this task.

1. Deliver only Excerpts via RSS

Probably the best way to bring your RSS Readers to your Blog is to provide them only with Post Excerpts. This way you almost gaurantee their visit to your Blog. However, it comes at a price. It may happen that your content in the Title and the Excerpts is not great and thus results in the Readers to ignore it altogether.

2. Link to other Post

Another sure shot way to get your Subscriber to your Blog is to link Content to previous post or other Parts of your Blog. This way if the RSS Subscriber wants to know more, will have to read the link, which in turn will take it to the Blog.

3. Write Content People want to Tweet or Bookmark

Write post which contains useful links and resources which people would like to Tweet or Share with other people. Although this is not common for a Text only post, unless you are a great writer, it would certianly work with posts containing lots of Links to sueful resources. It is a general tendency for people to open your post in the Browser to Bookmark and Share.

4. Redesign the Blog, change Theme or Layout

Redesign the Blog by changing the Theme or the Layout or add a Category to the Page Menu. Then write about it. Since the content are not available in the RSS Reader, it will cause them to visit your Blog and check it out. Do not use this trick too often as it might be irritating for the RSS Readers.

5. Encourage Reader to post Comments

Finally write an awesome post and encourage your readers to comment on it. You can also try with asking an open ended question and asking for views. This would encourage the Subscribers to visit your Blog and comment on it, to build a discussion.

Let me know if you have any more tips. Have a nice Day..!!

If you have anew blog and are getting loads of spam comments, you can actually use some of them to increase Comments per Post for your blog.

I hate Spam. Everyone hates spam. I also appreciate comments which provides value addition to the blog topic. But what do you do when your Blog is new, you are not getting any value addition comments and all you are stuck up with are loads of Crappy Spammy comments?

Although this is not something I would vouch for to everybody (I myself does not like it), but especially new bloggers can actually take advantage of Spammy Comments. Spammers use a script which let them post loads of comments to a large number of blogs which does not have Captcha protection activated. So they post a general comments like

I liked your blog a lot. Will subscribe to your RSS Feed right away.

You are doing a great job. World needs bloggers like you.

I loved this blog and appreciate the work you are doing etc.

The most important thing for them is getting a keyword rich link back. So you would see names like

Water Car Model

Get Six Pack Abs

Earn Cash Fast etc.

All you have to do is

Go to Admin Panel -> Comments -> Spam Tab

Delete all junk comments. Pick few random comments which are making sense but you know are spam.

Remove the link from it. Make sure to also check any link in the Comment Body.

Change the name to something that makes sense.

Approve the comment. Done.

There is no other magnet like LAUGHTER. A very good way to promote your blog, using Commenting on Other Blogs, is by posting Funny Comments.

Make sure you target Blogs in similar topic or niche. This way the chance of attracting targeted traffic is greater. Also remember to use keywords in your Name and Comment. Also make sure you do not make fun of some one. Rather post something which is obvious in some way which generally visitor find funny and no one particularly will find offensive.

When ever I have commented something funny on other blog, and more so if it i within the first 10 comments, I got 4-5 click backs. And that is great return consider it do not even take 20 second to comment.

Working with smart tools help. Over time you get accustom to them and soon they become indispensable. Here are a few applications I use on a day to day basis as a Blogger.

Windows Live Writer

Thanks Microsoft for coming out with such a nice little utility. Windows Live Writer is undoubtedly the best Offline Blogging Software. It supports a large type of blogs, but more importantly it supports WordPress. It also auto detects your Categories, Post Slug field, Tags etc. It also gives an option to save a draft online and post later. Cool isn’t it..!!

Download It

FileZilla FTP Utility

Filezilla is a nice free FTP client. Its supports FTP, FTP o/v SSL, SFTP etc. and runs on both Windows and Linux. Although I have never fully utilized it apart from transferring files from local hard drive to server, it does a very good job of transferring files and I am much happier with it compare to other FTP Clients. It also have a free server version incase if you want to set up a FTP Server.

Download It

Wamp Server

Wamp server helps you create, test and run applications using PHP, Apache and MySQL. It also has PHPMyAdmin and SQLiteManager to easily manage your databases. I used it to test my WordPresss Theme designs for my client, by running them on a localhost using WAMP. It’s much faster than running it on a live host.

Download It

Notepad++

Notepad++ is the most powerful text editor you can lay your hand on (Text Editor not rich Text Editor). First of all it’s free. Secondly, it provides Syntax highlighting for a whole bunch of programming languages. Provides a tabbed interface, remembers and auto loads open files, provide auto intended for better code visibility etc. The features go on and on and on. Simply the Best out there.

Download It

Win HTTrack

Win HTTrack is a very powerful offline browser. Now why would I use it? The reason is very simple. There are tonnes of beautiful sites out there, but my data plan for internet connection provides zero cost for night surfing. Also mostly I am on the move with a CDMA USB modem, which hardly gives any speed, just keep your connection alive. To quench my thirst of reading nice tutorials and great blogs, I rather download them and store them on a pendrive. That’s where Win HTTrack comes into the picture.

Win HTTrack allow you to download website and view them offline. You can change most of the options like The relative path you want to set, what types of files you want to download and what type of files you want to skip, other validation rules etc. It is the best offline website downloader out there.

Download It

Windows 7 Paint Tool

I am running a Windows 7 Beta Build version 7000. I must say it’s a very stable OS and leaps ahead compare to Vista. It have some Glitches here and there but surprisingly it’s better than Vista even in the Beta Version. Windows 7 presents with a revamp Paint Utility. Finally the ribbon interface debuts in MS Paint and I loved it. You can do pretty much same basic file editing and drawing. You can save files in PNG Format also.

Windows 7 Snipping Tool

Another nice addition to Windows 7 is a Snipping Tool. It lets you snip of cut selective portions of your screens and save them as a JPG, GIF or PNG image file. Very useful for taking screenshots.

Firefox Portable

Firefox is undoubtedly the best Browser out there at the moment with speed, security and tonnes of features and addons. What more interesting is, it also has a portable version available. Why do I need a portable version? Simple. I can take all my bookmarks, User Preferences, Addons, Local Bookmarks etc with me while I am on the move. I just have to install the Portable Version on the Pendrive and launch it from there on any computer and continue surfing from where I left last time.

Download It

Google Chrome Portable

Google Chrome is still not mature yet. But the good thing about this light weight Browser is that, first its fast and secondly it provides a fresh breath of air compare to other Memory hogging Browser applications. Another good feature of Google Chrome is that it runs as a separate process for each tab. Why this is important? If you open a faulty site or a tab becomes non-responding, you can kill it without losing all your open applications. Another important thing, Chrome comes preloaded with Gears. Great to use for applications like WordPress Turbo Mode and Google Reader Offline.

Microsoft Excel 2007

Finally the last utility in the list and the only utility you have to pay to get – Microsoft Office Excel 2007.

Content is important only when it is worth referring back to. All content share the following features

Purpose

Timeline and

Targeted Audience

Once any one among these it attained, the Content is useless. Meaning, it does not derives any value. So, when you are as a Blogger writing content, you need to understand the impact of all the three features, so as to optimize your blog posts. How? let’s see.

Purpose is pretty easy to attain. You already know what you are writing about. And in today’s world, we Smart Bloggers already know our targeted audience (Even then it is better to have a double check on these two features before you sit down writing). Finally, the most important aspect which also varies a lot as per writing is TIMELINE.

To put simply, the way your content is frame, it has a particular timeline. It could be by its nature (a news post, which won’t have any importance after sometime the event is done) or style (Your experience clearing Board Exams) etc. Now the purpose of this post is to dwell more into creating Content that have a large TIMELINE, so that it remains useful for a larger period. Let’s see how can we create Timeless Content.

Features of Timeless Content

So how do you go on to write timeless content? What defines it? How is it different from any other content? What measures I need to take? Can I make any content timeless? Let’s take these questions one by one.

Timeless Post do not only mean removing Dates

Writing timeless post and articles is an art. You cannot write any topic and consider it timeless. For Example, if you write on your sixteenth’s birthday party, it would cease its value after the party is over and a few days more. But if you write about the most exiting party of your life, which incidentally was also on your Sweet Sixteen Birthday, then it would definitely have a larger timeline. So get the point. Its more about Content representation than removing all occurrence of Dates from your Blog Layout.

A timeless post has a theme, which is represented in such a way that you are compel to read and connect to it, irrespective of the time. Although no posts can be exactly timeless, but you can definitely make the timeline of a post adding value long enough.

Look at the Bigger Picture

Looking at the bigger picture, taking a macro opinion, leaving minute details and taking the level higher always makes a post be more effective over time. When you insert details, which are small and change soon, chances are high that you would in quest for grabbing attention and personal touch, sacrifice the time span of the content.

Main Subject of the Post should not Disintegrate Quickly

Choose a topic, which is more general in nature, yet specific enough for you to maintain attention of your audience. Choose subjects which do not Disintegrate Quickly. A good idea would be General Tutorials, How-tos etc. Notice the word GENERAL here. Writing about experience of a Blogger using WordPress would be more useful than writing about the experience with respect to a particular version like say WordPress 2.7

Now comes the Make Part

Remove Date from Post BYLINE

Change Permalinks to not reflect YEAR and MONTH in it

Get rid of CALENDAR

Get rid of POST ARCHIVES. Rather maintain a list of Post group by categories

If you need to put Current News and Site updates, use a plug in like Advance Category Excluder and remove it from Blog Front Page

Benefits of Timeless Content

Your posts will be much more relevant for a longer time.

Actually you will find the value of post increased as time progresses.

People will link you with writing content that have a larger Value-Life (time until the content gives useful value) than others, giving you AUTHORITY STATUS in your niche.

It will draw more traffic once you have a hang of writing it.

More people will link to your content as they are comparatively more relevant due to their timeless nature (baring few exceptions).

When you should not try to “Write Timeless Content”

Site updates and News from your Niche.

Contests

About day to day topics.

Narrating a story.

Sports and Events.

Trips, Tours and Travel Experience.

When you should try to “Write Timeless Content”

When you are addressing to your whole niche

Explaining some Concept

Posting Tutorials or How-tos etc.

I would like to hear your views on it. Do so via comments. Happy Valentine’s Day to you all..!!

Part 2 of series is here.
Think Different. Get Noticed.

This is a three part series, focusing on strategies to get your blog stand out from the crowd. For that you need to think different from what already hundreds a thousands of blogs are doing. Check out the complete series:

Blog Design

Blog Content

Blog Promotion

<img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" title="blog content" src="http://moddify.com/domains/smartblogtips/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/writing-thumb.jpg" alt="writing thumb Think Different.
Blog Content

Coming to our second topic of Blog Content, we would focus on

How you can churn out effective Content for your Blog, post after post.

There is no shortcut to success. If you are a Blogger and want to achieve great success, then its imperative that you need to come up with great content. The task looks daunting and sure it is. Not all can be great blogger right..??

Let’s see how this process can be made simple and how you can use resources you gather for getting content for your blog more effectively.

1. Content is the King.. yada.. yada..

While there is no difference of opinion that “Content is the King”, but what a writer should remind himself about is the ecosystem. What Ecosystem..?? Lets consider a simple generic Communication channel.

From thoughts –> delivery channel –> registration in reader’s mind (delivered)

Now this can take place through various medium. It mind be a newspaper article, a weekly magazine, a flyer, newsletter, billboards, media channels, television, radio, website (blogs, guestbook, traditional website, user groups, online forums etc.) etc.

So you can see the list remains endless. And now you must have a fair idea why it is necessary to target specific channels and it makes sense when your content is tailored for a specific medium.

2. Do you write your own articles ..??

Didn’t expected this one here? You might be surprised if you are a newcomer. But expert bloggers know this and accepts also. Most of them do not write their blog themselves. Simple Reason, their blogs are successful, and they already have steady traffic flowing in. It makes sense for them to channel more time towards promotional activity once they have figured out their specific sector, content style and delivery methods/channels.

So they generally hire a panel of writers to write for them. The only time they spend is mentioning the parameters of the post, key ideas, few keywords and reviewing it once done. And by this panel of writers I do not mean the kind of ones you get for $5-10 per article on user forums. I mean quality article written by quality professionals.

What ever your path be, make sure you are bringing freshness into your posts by writing on topics that are different, hard to find, add value or surprise your visitors.

3. Do you write for Human Beings ..??

Funny isn’t it. Web development have evolved over time, such that it is now impossible to please everyone. You put nice content for your visitors, and are leaving behind search engines by avoiding rich keywords. You feed your page with a balance of rich keywords and edible content, but getting little or no traffic from Social Media sites like Digg and Stumbleupon.

Too bad, but that’s the fact. Very few post can enjoy their popularity equally between all three major traffic channels and other minor ones. So should you pick one over the other? Why not. There are many websites which are build solely for the purpose of Adsense income via search engine referrals. But then you do not want your site to be ay other site, right?

Lets look at how these three different channels differ. It will help you to mix and match different points to create an article that keeps everyone happy.

Search Engines

Heavy usage of keywords

Keywords should be Rich (Used frequently in search engine queries)

Advertiser Competition plays important role in selecting the Keyword

Quality words which are needed

Articles for Search Engine are written with heavy influence on normally used word

Social Media

List/Collections do very well in Social Media sites

Something out of ordinary

Media – images and videos

Most Social Media users are very tech inclined. Tech developments, new product launches etc. will do very well

Tutorials, Free resources, Code samples etc.

Human Readers

One word – Killer Content

To the point details (give what the reader came looking for)

Content with personal touch or opinion

4. Brainstorm

Brainstorming is a great way to come up with new ideas. It is vastly used in group discussion and problem solving classes. But the same fundamentals can be used while writing a blog post.

Contrary to the popular belief, brain storming does not only involve group. It can be done on an individual level also. Set a topic to post your blog on. Lets say you want t post on “How to copy Protect your Blogging Content”

Now you can take this as a problem and try to find solution to it using brain storming. Although it helps if you can get your partner, close friends, IM contact or twitter followers for better result you can do the same yourself also. Follow the four step formula

Focus on quantity – focus on coming up with a large number of ideas/solution to the problem. Do not worry whether they are feasible or not.

No Criticism – Do not criticize a solution and keep it aside.

Welcome Unusual ideas – Often via brain storming, when you let yourself free to come up with a wide number of ideas which are unusual or at least not ordinary. Among this you would be surprise to find a few very good ones.

Combine and Improve – Build upon the solution bag you have gathered. Now is the time to gather and evaluate each one. You can combine a couple of ideas to forma great idea.

Coming to the copy protecting your blog content, how about linking a news story about online content theft at the end of each Blog Post.

5. What is your Read-to-Write Ratio ..??

Blogging is not a walk in the park. Well, not really to the ordinary mind. You need to chew on the grey matter to get new ideas. The best way to get more ideas is to look around, learn more. So that brings me to my earlier question. How many blogs do you read? And what all blogs you read?

I use Google Reader (a wonderful piece of software) to manage my RSS feeds on the go. And I Make sure to keep myself updated about the latest in the fields of

Blogging

Search Engine Optimization

Web Designing

Internet Marketing

Make Money

Technology

Coding / Scripting

Business, Finance and Economy (for my day job)

Current News (general awareness)

Most of the List are collected from Technorati Top 100 blogs, Technorati Popular Blogs, Blogroll of famous Bloggers, StumbleDigg, Digg –> Technology/Design Sections etc. Pretty soon the list has grown to a large number with 1000+ new post hitting my RSS Reader every other day. Add to that, a list of pool blogs containing less frequently updated content, and the collection is massive.

Although I cannot read each and every post, I make sure I read my A list blogs everyday, and other interesting articles (by quickly scanning through the post titles). This is a great source of content that help come up with ideas for new Blog Posts.

So unless you are the next Sidney Sheldon, you should start devoting some time to read blogs of your peers and other famous people to keep yourself updated and feed in fresh content to your blog also.

6. Essence of a Blog Post

You blog post is nothing but a communication message between you and your readers / visitors. So if you want to know the essence of a Complete Blog Post, why not read the essence of Communication Message itself.

Make sure every Blog Post you publish has the following attributes.

Clear – Write posts which lays out clear meaning

Concise – Make post brief and to the point.

Concrete – Be as specific as you can. Use examples where ever needed.

Correct – Write correct posts in terms of spelling, grammar, punctuation, format.

Coherent – Make sure posts are also maintain a logical flow.

Complete – Don’t leave out important parts of the topic. If you plan to leave some topic out for another post, then do say so or provide a link.

Courteous – Write a positive building post focused upon the readers.

7. Read your own Blog Post

I like to write. I like to put my words down for others to read. But that does not mean I am a great writer (may be some day I will be). So how do I gauge my progress. One way is to ask my audience to give feedback. Another way is to ask friends to read the draft post before publishing. But then again, how many of us have spare friends for reading our draft posts..?? So your best bet is yourself.

Write your post, then quickly read the draft for spelling, grammar and logical errors. Once done, read the post as if you are coming across the draft of someone else. Pay attention of what the post is trying to convey and see if this is what you meant. This way, you might find mistakes and proof read your own post.

8. Copywriting

What is the best onsite marketing tool for a blogger..?? If you think banner, list of top post or landing pages, then you are absolutely wrong. Its the content, which does the marketing without ever uttering “Click Me”

You can use your content to direct the actions of your visitors. You can drive them to click that affiliate link you make major income from, get the visitor to subscribe to your RSS Feeds or just vote you as the “Blogger of the Year”. That’s what Copywriting is all about.

Copywriting is using the your content to successfully derive the pre planned action from the content reader.

So, don’t just blah blah on you blog post. Think what you want to get done from your post and then write the content in such a way. Trust me, this is a tough skill and require practice.

This is one thing that differentiate you from a famous blogger. You get a hang of this and you master the Social Engine Optimization (The human element in contrast to Search Engines in SEO).

We all know this stuff, but we rarely apply it. I wont fudge away from saying that even I ignore it. The reasons are simple. Being a great Copywriter is an art and wont happen overnight. And since we are more interested in churning out post after post of new content, copywriting takes a back seat.

What we can do is at least make an effort to release one post with an aim in mind (like getting maximum Diggs, Stumbles, RSS Subscribers etc.) and try it out say once a month or so. Overtime you will find all you post coming out nicely. Trust me on this one.

9. Show passion for the content you write

This is the only point where everything is irrelevant but you. When you write a post, you think of the target audience in mind and construct your words. That’s what everyone does. But have you ever let yourself out by penning the words you wanted to?

If everyone says Pay per Click rocks, so should you..?? Not necessary, if you think Private Ads sales is the wrong way to go forward, then be it. Stick to it and write how and why. Just because everyone is is saying so, you should not also say the same thing.

“Don’t be a cattle in the herd. Make yourself stand out. That’s what this whole series is all about.”

10 Develop a Writing Style

What is your writing style? Do you like to add jokes in your posts, to make your visitors laugh? Do you feed your readers with sarcasm, or witty posts are your way to go?

It is very important to develop a writing style. It helps you and your readers bond faster to each other. It creates a bonding in your visitor’s mind, and they began to expect a certain style of writing in your post.

Again, its very important to use a writing style you are comfortable with. If you cannot write sarcastic, then simply don’t try to write one. You would end up taking more time to write and the post would look like a purposefully sarcastic one.

Remember comedy movies, where the director tries to make you laugh even though the scene does not demands it nor you feel like. Now would you like your post to be one of those cheap comedy flicks where you don’t even feel like laughing..??

11. Tease a little. Know when to tease.

Finally you have made through reading the content and are ready to go. Remember the best trick in public media is that of creating the expectations and then using it. That is what blogging is all about. If you think your content can not market for itself, then you are absolutely wrong.

“Use your content as a self promoting media. Use it to tease the audience, develop an expectation and then deliver in line with the hopes“

I have left the Blog untouched with the default WordPress settings when it came to No follow tags and currently waiting or sometime to let the domain get old and effective organically (meaning by not using SEO tactics apart from the ordinary).

After sufficient time is passed, I would sit down and rework on the Blog from SEO point of view, something I like to call SEO Maintenance. But until then, I am a bit fed up with Akismet and its filtering incapability.

I daily get infused with at least 2-3 comments which pass Akismet and land in my Comments Control Panel. Now this really pisses me off. Reason been 2-3 spam comments multiplied by the number of sites I own results in a number little difficult to manage.

Finding gibberish text with links all over just lying there to be marked as “SPAM” – why oh why do these people don’t understand. Forget it, no point mulling over the issue.

I might try my search for a better spam preventing plug-in for blog comments. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

One of the most important question bloggers face is the periodicity or frequency of the posting on their blog. Some may say a post a day should do fine, while others are happy with posting once a week.

This is a very tricky question. It depends on many factors. Sometime you may write a very good post which keeps bringing visitors over and over again to you blog months after you have posted it. At other times, even writing two-three post everyday does hardly bring any traffic.

Lets keep aside the magic post you have discovered. In your normal routine, the frequency of posting would depend on many factors. Following are a few of them…

1. If you are blogging on a topic like news or tips or some kind of aggregators, its obvious that you should post more often. Mostly a post a day for news sites should do fine.

2. If you blog on general topics, your posting frequency should be higher.

3. If you are having an authority on a topic, you can afford to post at gaps. By authority I mean your post adds value which is difficult to obtained by your visitors from elsewhere.

4. If your post takes time to compile, something like blogging about a showcase of Sunset Wallpapers, Design Sites etc. you can post less frequently.

5. As the blog gets old, your visitors starts to link with your blog’s content.

6. Maintaining a periodicity helps a lot. You should stick to a posting routine. It may be once a week, twice a week or even once every day. Just figure out what suits your pattern and stick to it. That way your visitors would know when to expect the next post.

7. Think twice before increasing the frequency of your post. You may have to continue posting more often.

8. Also, in case you are unavailable (like going on a vacation, working on a separate project etc.), make sure you let your loyal visitors know about it. Else it would most probably look like ignorance on your part.

These are just a few of the tips. Let us know via comments, how often you blog and what criteria you consider while setting your posting frequency.

Have a nice day..!!

In today’s internet age, its impossible to protect your Online Repository from theft. Hence its a good idea to publish a Disclaimer or Privacy Statement or both. Here are a list of subjects you might want to cover in your Privacy Statement.

Web Server Logs

All Web Servers keeps logs of information about visitor views, host name, browser details, geographical details, IP addresses etc. Let user know about these automatically collected information and usage of Analytical Softwares like Google Analytics and Sitemeter.

Personal details

If you collect visitor’s personal data like Email address and Phone Numbers, this is the place where you mention how you are going to use them. Incase plan to sell the data to third parties, it is advisable to make it clear over here.

Security Concerns

Visitors should be made aware of their Security Concerns like treatment of Credit Card detail, use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Digital IDs. If a visitor enters a Credit Card details or Online Banking details, they needed assurance that the site is verified and their details are safe.

Public Data / Information

Visitor must be explained that the information they provide on some sections of the site might be public (Mostly Email addresses left in comments, message boards, guest books, newsgroups. polls etc).

Cookie Treatment

Cookies are small text files with user information like browsing session details, last visit timing etc. that a website places on the User Computer. Often the Website owner never realize that a plug-in or a module might be using a cookie to function. In such cases, do some digging and let visitors know how cookies are used, what information they collect and how this information will be treated.

Sponsored Links / Advertisements

Almost all sites have Sponsored links. This may be Private Advertisements placed on your sites or In-Post-Links. Its always better to let the visitors of the site know which section of your site contains this Sponsored links and that they will be redirected to a third party site. Also remember to check if the Ads / Links you display, use any kind of cookies for monitoring the Ad usage.

External Links

Almost every website has external links, but most of the time the visitor does not realize that they are been redirected to a third party site. Let your visitor know that you are not responsible for the content and security of the third party site.

Contact Information

Let your users know how they can contact you incase they have any questions related to the Privacy Policy. You can redirect them to you Contacts Page.

If you have any more suggestions that can be added to the list, then leave a comment.
