WordPress 2.6.3 – Update for security vulnerability

WordPress 2.6.3 is a minor update to immediately patch a security vulnerability in the Snoopy library.

“Snoopy is a PHP class that simulates a web browser. It automates the task of retrieving web page content and posting forms, for example.”

WordPress uses Snoopy for fetching feeds shown in dashboard. If you do not want to update it, you can manually replace the following two files in wp-includes folder :

• class-snoopy.php
• version.php
